  A highly regarded campsite that left me underwhelmed.
  Without driving or walking miles there is literally nothing at all that any other campsite doesnt offer, except maybe better routes suitable for heavy hikers.
  
  The peak district is a beautiful area but we passed numerous campsites that had equally stunning views but where far better maintained. The grass was so long I would question if it had been cut in months.
  The owners barely said a word to me, and the ground was so uneven it was impossible to find a pitch that would give both sides of an 8 man tent level ground.
  
  We will certainly visit the peak district again soon, but I gaurantee it will not be at upper booth.
